Maryville Academy is an Illinois child- and family-services organization with roots in a nineteenth-century Catholic orphanage. WTTW reported that Maryville began in 1883 as St. Mary's Training School for Boys and later expanded into health care, mental-health services, family support, youth development, and residential care (WTTW).

Maryville's current education work includes the Charles H. Walsh Sr. Academy & Career Tech High School, also called Walsh Academy. Maryville says Walsh Academy opened in Niles in fall 2023 after having been known as Jen School, and serves students ages 14 to 22 with academics, integrated social-emotional learning, and career-technical education (Maryville Academy).

Walsh Academy's curriculum includes trade and career programs such as carpentry and woodworking, culinary arts and agriculture, HVAC, health science, media production, information technology, and 3-D printing. Maryville describes the school as intended for diverse learners preparing either for high-demand trades or college (Educational Services).

Maryville's residential role changed substantially in the 2010s. In 2016, WTTW reported that state budget cuts led Maryville to end residential care on its Des Plaines campus, though the agency continued other services (WTTW).
