2008 Staff Sexual-Abuse Charges

In October 2008, the Deseret News reported that staff member Joy Lynette Andrews appeared in court on charges of forcible sodomy and forcible sexual abuse involving a 17-year-old girl. The article said the charges stemmed from an investigation alleging Andrews met the girl when the girl was a resident at Cinnamon Hills; Andrews denied the allegations.

2014 Employment Ruling

In Joseph v. Cinnamon Hills Youth Crisis Center, a federal judge granted part of Cinnamon Hills' summary-judgment motion but allowed former employee Anthony Joseph's assault and battery claims against Buff L. Williams to proceed. The order recited Joseph's allegations of religious harassment and physical intimidation while noting that several other claims were dismissed.
