Alegend Jones Case

In 2023, Memphis-area news outlets reported that Alegend Jones, 17, died after an incident at a Youth Villages facility. Subsequent reporting said civil-rights attorney Benjamin Crump announced new abuse allegations involving Youth Villages, and in 2025 the Tennessee Bar Association reported that criminal charges against four Youth Villages staff members in the Jones case had been dropped.
