Sequel Transition Academy was the former name of Brighter Transition Youth Treatment Center in South Dakota. The South Dakota Department of Corrections says the facility reopened in June 2013 as Sequel Transition Academy, a 32-bed licensed group care home providing transitional services to Department of Corrections youth returning to the Sioux Falls area, and was renamed in April 2022 (South Dakota DOC).

Brighter Transition's current website describes the program as a 32-bed transitional program licensed by South Dakota and accredited by The Joint Commission, serving youth who need intensive treatment services in a short-term residential setting (Brighter Transition YTC).
