Former Resident Accounts

Public accounts from former Mercy Ministries residents have focused largely on the former Australian program. In a 2016 Eternity News article, a former Sydney participant identified as Sarah said that her time in the program damaged her relationship with faith and described lingering effects years after graduating (Eternity News).

Australian press and regulator materials also described complaints from former residents who said the program relied on religious counseling while failing to provide the professional help they expected. Those accounts are best read as allegations and firsthand reports rather than findings about every Mercy Multiplied site.
