2025 Human Rights Authority report

In 2025, the Springfield Region Human Rights Authority opened an investigation after complaints about potential rights violations in the care of a minor at Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center. The report said the allegations concerned whether hospitalization was prolonged because of inadequate assessments, whether discharge rights were explained to the patient and parent, and whether the patient received incorrect medication (Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission).
