2015 and 2025 escapes

In 2015, Action News Jax reported that seven youths escaped from Duval Academy and that Florida DJJ was working with Youth Services International, then the operator, to locate them. In 2025, WOKV reported that two teens had gone missing from Duval Youth Academy and that the program said it was cooperating with DJJ and law-enforcement investigations (Action News Jax, WOKV).
