Boys Town

Boys Town is a child and family services organization headquartered in Boys Town, Nebraska. The organization traces its origin to Father Edward J. Flanagan's 1917 home for boys in Omaha and later developed into a national nonprofit serving children and families.

Boys Town's Residential Treatment Center is operated through Boys Town National Research Hospital. The center describes itself as a licensed psychiatric residential treatment facility for children ages 5 to 17 with significant behavioral and mental-health needs.

The residential treatment center began in 1995 and later moved to the Boys Town campus. Boys Town reported in 2020 that the center had provided more than 500,000 days of care and had grown to 80 beds on the campus.
